Q4 lobby reports: 20 groups spent more than $2 million

The November elections, policy battles over net neutrality and last-minute action by a lame-duck Congress helped steer millions of dollars to lobbying and advocacy in the fourth quarter of 2014. At least 20 trade groups and professional societies reported spending more than $2 million between October and December. As usual, the biggest spender was the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Together with its Institute for Legal Reform, the Chamber reported $31.9 million on lobby disclosure forms filed with Congress.
